Meera Jasmine who is a shooting in Hyderabad for
the Telugu remake of Parthiban Kanavu reacting to the news that
she bagged the best actress award said “Unbelieveable. It’s all
God's wish". She said that though everybody said that she would
get an award she did not take it very seriously.
She said that the Shaheen, the role which got her the award was
something dear to her. She added that while she was shooting for
the film she heard about a Muslim school girl committing
suicide. The girl's body was brought to the hospital where the
unit was filming. “All this contributed to the character coming
out well. Yet another reason is that I spoke in my own voice and
added life to the role" said Meera. |
