Most keralites look for quality ads, not quality products

study conducted by a management expert revealed that the people
of kerala were attracted to quality advertisement and that they
do not bother about the quality of the product. The new study
says that the majority of buyers in the state were attracted by
quality television commercial advertisement. With this, even low
quality products were being sold in the state as people appear
to be not interested in quality. The study was conducted by
noted management expert Suresh Manimala ad rural marketing
expert V. Mukunda das. The study titled 'Impact of TV
commercials (Advertisement) on consumer purchase Behaviors' says
that several products were being sold in Kerala even without
factual convictions. This was in spite of the fact that kerala
was a highly literate state. An interesting finding of the study
was that the majority of the television viewers do not believe
in the truthfulness of the ads. According to the study conducted
among the age of 15-25 years, the proportion of regular
television viewers very high in kerala compared to other state
despite kerala's high literary standard. It found that almost
100 percent of the age group was in the habit of watching
television regularly. The study also revealed that a large
majority of the people in the state preferred television ads.
Among those responded to the queries, 85.35 % liked TV ads. The
most important component in an ads that attracted the TV viewers
was visual and music.
